Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Corine Ambrosio (born April 11, 1981 is a Brazilian model. Her last name is spelled Ambrosio, but the diacritic mark is omitted in her modeling work.
Ambrsio, described by Tyra Banks as “The future of the modeling world”, is best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret and was chosen as their first spokesmodel for Victoria’s Secret PINK line. Ambrósio is currently one of Victoria’s Secret Angels and the former face for the UK company Next.
Born in the small town of Erechim, Brazil, she decided she wanted to be a model when she was eight years old. At age 11 she had cosmetic surgery to pin her ears back because she felt they stuck out too much. For the next two years she suffered complications from the surgery, whatever the hell that means. In 2006 she went on the Tyra Banks Show and admitted that the surgery had been a bad experience for her and that it discouraged from having plastic surgery again.
